Dunhill & O'Brien: Stone Appreciation workshop

26 May 2018

2pm to 4pm

Participants are invited to experience the challenge of making, communicating and collaborating through modelling a clay form based on images of an erratic boulder in Yorkshire. Using the Stone Appreciation ‘Booth’ two participants will have up to 25 minutes to discover if and how it is possible to model a likeness of a complex natural form without seeing what they are doing and without speaking . Participants need to be prepared to get their hands dirty and their senses disrupted.

This project is part of an ongoing enquiry by Dunhill and O’Brien concerning the mechanics of collaborative making and the status of sculpture.

Please note this event will be filmed.
