Inclusive Curriculum

Two male students of colour talking

20 Apr 2018

2pm to 4pm

This session starts by reflecting  on your own diversity and questions how inclusive your curriculum and your pedagogy is within your own context. You will  learn about the changing context within art and design higher education linked to changing student cohorts and the equality and diversity policy.

The concept of inclusive practice will be discussed and also case studies of exclusionary practices that exist within the studio/workshop and seminar will be considered. Finally there will be the opportunity to share and learn about inclusive resources that can enhance the curriculum for all.

Who should attend?
Any member of UAL staff interested in reflecting on diversity and inclusivity in relation to their curriculum and teaching practice.

What can I do next?
The workshop will be an introduction into the Inclusive Teaching and Learning unit which is part of the PgCert. It is possible to apply for this unit, which is delivered in the second term through the Teaching and Learning Exchange, either as part of the PgCert or as a stand-alone unit.
