Proptar are back and teaming up with Careers & Employability (UAL) to deliver The Platform Series, which consists of three ‘Industry Insider’ events (live panel discussions with Industry professionals) that will each focus on a different topic, giving you exclusive insight and advice on current trends, gaps in the market, what to avoid when you’re starting out and most importantly, giving you a platform to get ahead!

We’re kicking off with the Fashion edition just in time for London Fashion Week for all you fashionistas out there! So come along and hear from panellists Dior Bediako and Florence Adepoju about how they started their businesses and used their creativity and entrepreneurial mind-sets to make an idea happen, challenge the industry, how it works and who it represents.

Every Industry Insider will be followed by a ‘Masterclass’ the following month, where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the speakers from our Industry Insider at their place of work and take part in an interactive and high energy workshop; you’ll get the chance to learn new skills, network and hear top tips that will help you to fulfil your creative ambitions.

Dior Bediako is director and founder of Pepper your talk a business that supports the next generation of fashion creatives by boosting their knowledge, connections and confidence in the fashion industry.

Florence Adepoju is an LCF graduate who founded the successful cosmetic brand: MDM Flow, especially designed for diverse skin tones inspired by her love for mid 90s-00s glamour and hip-hop culture.

For all accessibility requirements or for more information about the event please contact Lora Ghany at or 07872816806.

This event has been organised by Careers & Employability in partnership with Proptar. Careers & Employability empower UAL students and graduates to make a living doing what they love and strive to support students underrepresented in the creative sector.
