10am to 2pm
This exhibition is the result of a collaboration between University of the Arts London’s Outreach department and the Notting Hill Housing Trust’s Summer Programme.
Over three consecutive days in August 2017, residents of the Aylesbury Estate took part in a photography project to document their surroundings. Taught by London College of Communication tutor and documentary photographer Anders Birger, the participants recorded the local area and the people that live there.
The project was aimed at local young people as a way of helping them to document the changing landscape of the local area. Different generations from the same families worked and learnt together, adding another layer of perspective to the body of work produced.
This exhibition celebrates the high standard of photography produced and showcases the potential for a new generation of local photographers and future students at London College of Communication.
This exhibition is viewable from outside the LCC Studio Shopping Centre Unit.
