The Teaching and Learning Exchange offers a variety of accredited teaching courses for UAL staff in student facing roles: as lecturers, technicians, library staff and more.

UAL staff are invited to come and meet our Unit Leaders for a seminar on the courses available to you.
  • Discuss the units available, or doing a PGCert or MA
  • Find out about professional recognition with the HEA (as Fellow or Associate Fellow) or SEDA
  • Early career researchers could talk about Research as an academic practice

The application deadline for for courses starting in 2017/18 is Friday 22 September 2017, but you are encouraged to apply earlier to secure a place on our courses.
About Us
The Teaching and Learning Exchange provides professional development and support to UAL staff in their roles as educators and researchers; develops and assists the implementation of technology to support learning; undertakes and supports pedagogic research; and contributes to the strategic development of learning and teaching across the institution.

Our MA course focuses on career development for educators and researchers within art, design and communication disciplines. The course includes units and pathways to support the professional development of a wide range of staff, including full-time and part-time lecturers, researchers, technicians, library staff and administrators with a learning support role. 

The course has been designed with flexibility in mind, so that participants can combine study with work.
