Introduction

Moodle is one component of University of the Arts London's virtual learning environment (VLE). Moodle brings the dynamics of the classroom to the Internet, allowing students to access course materials online and interact with staff and peers.

What is the overall aim?

This workshop provides an introduction to the Moodle environment and explores how typical tasks are performed.
By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of what Moodle offers and how to create an effective course site.
At the end of the workshop you will be able to: 
  • Access and navigate around the Moodle VLE
  • Create announcements and news
  • Build an effective course site
  • Add different types of content and tools to the site
  • Use Moodle's communication tools
  • Create and manage groups  

Who should attend?

This workshop is for anyone who would like to learn the basic skills for using Moodle and build confidence in using the features of the environment. It provides an introduction to the environment and explores how typical tasks are performed.
