An exhibition of work by students from the MA Interior and Spatial Design course at Chelsea College of Arts responding to the theme of placemaking.
The work on display explores placemaking as a creative strategy and focuses exclusively on hospital environments, working closely with Architects for Health and Guy’s and St. Thomas’s Health Trust.
The Hospital Placemaking Group provides a context for students from different cultural backgrounds to ground their research and studio practice in a way that addresses ‘real’ healthcare issues or situations. The ambition is to foster a diverse range of approaches, from interior design solutions, street furniture, façade treatments and play areas to temporary installations and public art.
