Thinking through Drawing

Are you struggling to communicate your ideas visually? Would you like to be able to use drawing and sketching to facilitate ideas-generation and help you plan out your work? Do you feel that a lack of drawing confidence might be restricting you creatively?

In this three-hour workshop we will revisit drawing skills and consider what it means to ‘see skilfully’. We will look at various drawing methodologies to consider how drawing can help to think through conceptual ideas, to work through a brief, and to expand and support thinking and creative practice.

No previous experience of drawing is necessary.

Who’s it for?

Please note this workshop is open only to current enrolled students (all levels).

Benefits of attending

Through various drawing exercises you will learn to investigate the discipline of drawing as a thinking tool, and as a valuable skill for supporting creative activity and problem-solving. Looking at the different contexts, approaches and disciplines of drawing you will leave more confident in your ability to communicate your ideas visually.
