Dan Rees was born in Swansea. He studied at Camberwell College of Arts from 2001 – 2004, and then at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste Städelschule, Frankfurt from 2007 – 2009.
Rees has had numerous solo exhibitions including ‘Stimulate Surprise’, Tanya Leighton Gallery, Berlin; ‘Top Heavy’, T293, Rome; ‘High Tea’, Shane Campbell Gallery, Chicago 2013 ‘Kelp’, The National Museum of Wales, Cardiff; and ‘Gravel Master’, The Goss-Michael Foundation, Dallas. He has also shown at Saatchi Gallery, QUAD Derby, Eastside Projects and Focal Point Gallery. His work is held in the National Museum of Wales collection.
This talk has been programmed to coincide with the exhibition I Never Lied to You at Camberwell Space Projects, an exhibition of work by recent BA Fine Art Alumni of Camberwell College of Arts.
