Art Riot

15 Oct 2015

2.30pm to 4.30pm

The workshop includes a presentation by David Goldenberg on his contribution to the 2nd Bodrum International Biennial, followed by an open discussion on the ongoing project, Art Riots.

The Art Riot group includes artist / researchers: David Goldenberg, James Lander, Keunhye Lee, Lana Locke, Toby Paton, and Joshua Y’Barbo.

David Goldenberg is a London based artist. He uses the context of the town of Bodrum in South West Turkey, where he has taken part in the 2nd Bodrum International Biennial, as another setting and background to share his experiences and thinking, in-order to take issues further and provide greater substance to debates, particularly as a context to test out a wide range of questions. Within this context, Goldenberg’s contribution to the 2nd Bodrum International Biennial, titled  (      ) collapse, meditated on Neo Liberalism impact on art and intellectual production, by asking a number of fundamental questions starting with “whether art is able to say something?”

This event is open to the PhD students across UAL only and is closed to the public.
